MUA and genius: Jack Oliver

Whose make up would you most like do in the whole world?

‘Björk would have to be my answer, such a huge cast of creativity.’

Favourite beauty/make up product of all time?

‘Mist & Fix hydrating spray, it gives a dewy, natural look and keeps makeup in place all day.’

What are your biggest inspirations?

‘Music, fashion, friends.’

Personal favourite beauty trend?

‘I love natural skin, especially freckles, but I also love bold colours.’

Favourite thing about being a MUA?

‘Creating more art and meeting new people’

Do you have any session MUA hacks?

‘Cotton buds are a great help on set for small mistakes and corrections. As a MUA its essential to have all base colours and to learn your colour chart, mixing shades and matching perfectly to any skin tone, depending on the style or look.’

Fave makeup look from the shoot?

‘The bold eye colour and the soft and dewy, nude skin. Also the dark red plum tone eyes looked amazing on Lexi.’

Inspiration behind the looks?

‘Mood boards created with Narrow Arrow guided me into what was being looked for in the moment. Breaking boundaries and creating new trends. I love getting creative on set! I ended up using lipstick for the eye colour to try something different and creating a fresh texture. I used a taupe blue on the eyelid and set it with translucent face powder to add a natural dewy finish.’

Narrow Arrow in a few words…

‘Creative, fun, caring, trendy, innovative, working with Narrow Arrow was an enjoyable experience, with a great creative team on set.’
